The SAT is a standardized test that evaluates a high school student's readiness for college by measuring their math, reading, and writing skills, as well as their literacy and numeracy. The College Board, a private, not-for-profit organization, creates and administers the SAT, which is offered seven times a year in the United States and four times a year internationally. The SAT is 2 hours and 14 minutes long and consists of two sections: Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW).

Each section is scored on a 200 to 800-point scale, and the total SAT score is the sum of the section scores. The highest possible SAT score is 1600, and the average SAT score is 1060. A score above 1050 is above average and acceptable for many colleges, while a score of 1350 puts you in the top 10% of test takers and can make your application competitive at more selective schools.

We at Student Leap match volunteer SAT tutors with students seeking tutoring. All our volunteers have previously taken the SAT exam and scored highly. All tutoring will be provided remotely using Zoom or Google Meet.
